Convert HEIC to PNG without uploading anything

PNG keeps every pixel and supports transparency. Use it when the photo is heading into an editor or a design file, not into a web page.

0 = keep original
0 = use quality

How it works

  1. Drop your files. HEIC, HEIF, JPG, PNG or WebP. Batch and folder drops both work.
  2. Pick the output. Choose the format, quality, max edge, or a hard size limit in KB.
  3. Download. One file at a time, or everything as a single ZIP. Nothing is uploaded.

HEIC vs PNG: what actually changes

HEIC is a lossy, highly compressed format. PNG is lossless. Converting to PNG will not bring back detail that HEIC already threw away, but it does stop you from losing anything else in the conversion, and it avoids the blocky artifacts JPEG adds on top.

The trade is size. PNG files are much larger, which is why PNG suits editing and archiving and JPG or WebP suit delivery.

Why convert locally

Design work is often confidential: unreleased products, client photos, ID scans. Uploading those to a random converter is a real risk. This tool decodes and re-encodes on your device, so the files never travel.

FAQ

Is the PNG output lossless?

The PNG encoding is lossless, but the source HEIC is already lossy. You get exactly the pixels HEIC stored, nothing more and nothing degraded.

Will the PNG be much bigger?

Usually yes, often several times larger. If you need a small file, convert to JPG or WebP instead, or set a target size.
